Qualogy is to me... a modern organization that is constantly evolving

The expression “change is the only constant in life” is commonly used, also at Qualogy. After all, it’s important in our field of work to respond well to change. That is also why I feel so at home at Qualogy Caribbean. In this blog, I’d love to tell you more.

You could say that “change is the only constant in life” has almost become the unofficial motto at Qualogy Caribbean. Our CEO, Paul Mehilal, also said it in his interview with the Dutch newspaper De Ware Tijd. I’ve now been working at Qualogy for about two years and also use the phase regularly.

Everyone is equal

If there’s one thing that has changed in organizations, it is the presence of a rigid hierarchy. For many companies, it has become a thing of the past. At Qualogy Caribbean, this is also the case. Everyone calls each other by their first name, and job titles no longer play a role. I personally experience this development as very pleasant. Everyone is equal, from junior to senior, and is involved in the management and decision-making process. A flat, more modern organizational structure suits me. My responsibilities have also gradually increased as a result.

New ways of appreciation

The way Qualogy values its employees is also a good example of responding well to change. If you show the desire to further develop yourself, you get all the space to do so. For example, I was given the opportunity to take courses and obtain certifications to grow, which I also see as a form of appreciation. Qualogy also introduces news ways of appreciation to keep the morale of teams and individuals high. Think modifications to the workspace or improvements in the network architecture so people can work comfortably.

Flexibility put to the test

In 2020, the ability of companies to adapt was severely tested. This was also the case at Qualogy. Because of the corona crisis, we had to switch to a new way of working overnight. Since we can work well remotely, that transition went quite smoothly for us. Our work processes and systems are well prepared for the future, with remote working increasingly becoming the norm. I am proud of that.

Thinking ahead

Finally, I think that being open to change and improvement is increasingly important for a modern organization. Qualogy already does this very successfully. As an employee, you are challenged to think about improvements and the management always responds well to our input.
