Update: Exalogic X5-2 now with 160 TB of raw storage

Published on: Category: Oracle

Just a quick newsflash: from very reliable sources I heard that as of this week, the Exalogic X5-2 comes with a staggering 160 TB of raw storage, up from 80 TB. Wow!

This is because it now comes with 8 TB SAS disks instead of 4 TB in the onboard ZFS storage. Thus, you now have effectively (20-2)/2 * 8 TB = 72 TB of usable storage in a newly ordered Exalogic machine.
